DOLE Central Luzon urges workers, employers to ‘be more productive’
The Department of Labor and Employment’s regional director in Central Luzon urged jobseekers, workers, and employers “to be more productive amid the Covid-19 pandemic.”
Geraldine Panlilio, chairperson of Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Central Luzon made the call during the launch of the 2021 Regional Productivity Olympics, which was held simultaneously with a virtual webinar on work ethics and productivity on April 30.
“Good work ethics is very important for the company to achieve the level of productivity it needs to be successful,” Panlilio said in a Punto Central Luzon report.
She emphasized the value of a productive workforce as one of the leading factors towards success.
“If we improve and develop ourselves, there is no reason for us not to bounce back better for a better Philippines,” Panlilio was quoted as saying.
The official also pushed employers to develop a corporate culture that “embraces good work ethics and fosters productivity to be an avenue of growth and development for their employees,” the report said.
