Diño wants additional P140B for SBMA development projects
To further develop the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), its chair, Martin Diño announced that he is proposing P140 billion of development projects for the Freeport Zone.
In a Sunstar Pampanga report January 28, the SBMA chair said these additional investments are needed as the Freeport Zone has been one of the foundations of the Philippines’ economic growth, job creation and catalyst of national and local development.
His proposed projects include the 25-30 kilometer bypass road for cargo trucks connecting Castillejos town in Zambales to Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, 65 kilometer Subic-Mariveles Highway and the “Green Industrial SBMA” which will need 150,000 employees.
Also, opening of the Subic International Airport and Subic Port, construction of wind turbines as source of alternative energy, and expansion of the Tipo Road.
Moreover, he reiterated to help President Rodrigo Duterte in his all-out campaign against criminality and corruption especially in SBMA.
