DAR assures help in resolution of Bataan land cases – Roman
The Department of Agrarian Reform leadership has committed to help resolve existing land cases in Bataan province, Congresswoman Geraldine Roman said Saturday.
“DAR Secretary Atty. John Castriciones and Usec. Atty. Emily Padilla pledged their support to help us resolve the decades-long land cases that have brought so much grief to our district, as well as agrarian reform,” Roman, who is Bataan 1st District Representative, said on her Facebook account.
Roman said she recently visited the DAR main office in Quezon City as part of her efforts to help address the concerns of her constituent farmers. It was learned that the visit took place last Wednesday, Aug. 29.
“Helping to uplift the lives of Bataan’s hardworking farmers and their families has always been one of my top priorities,” Roman said.
“As public servants, we need to do more to improve their living conditions. Bataan’s rural areas deserve to experience the same economic growth and development that our cities are experiencing.”
Roman said she left DAR office “feeling hopeful for our district and our beloved farmers.”
