The ambassadors of Denmark and France paid House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo separate courtesy calls.
On her Facebook page, Arroyo showed photos of her receiving Danish Ambassador Jan Top Christensen at French Ambassador Nicolas Galey at her office in the House of Representatives in Quezon City.
Arroyo, 71, is a former president and is currently Pampanga 2nd District Representative in Congress.
According to the politico’s social media post, Christensen, who is Denmark’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Philippines, expressed his eagerness to work with the House leader “to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.”
Galey of France, on the other hand, personally congratulated Arroyo for her election to the post in late July and extended his government’s continued commitment to improve relations with the Philippines.
