The father of PH57, the first patient in Bulacan to die of the coronavirus disease, has also passed away after getting infected by his son, according to the Bulacan Public Health Office.
This brought to two the number of people who have died of Covid-19 in Bulacan province.
Health officials reported Bulacan’s second fatality from Covid-19 on Saturday, a 89-year-old man identified only as PH304, who apparently contracted the illness from his 65-year-old son.
His son was a balikbayan from London who only came back to San Ildefonso town to attend a birthday party before falling ill. He died in a Pasig City hospital on March 17.
The father, on the other hand, was taken to a hospital in San Fernando City in Pampanga on Saturday and died on Friday.
The health office said there were now seven confirmed Covid-19 cases in Bulacan, two deaths, 163 patients under investigation and 468 patients under monitoring.
