The Department of Agriculture (DA) kick-started an information caravan on organic agriculture at the Bataan capitol in Balanga City.
The DA partnered with the Provincial Agriculture Office of Bataan for the activity which is under the National Organic Agriculture Program (NOAP), officials said.
The caravan seeks to raise awareness and encourage everyone to unite in the implementation of the organic agriculture ordinance in accordance with the Organic Agriculture (OA) Law or Republic Act (RA) 10068 as amended by RA 11511, according to a Philippine News Agency report.
It also aims to support the organics practitioners of the Bataan province, the report said.
The event was attended by local executives of the province, municipal/city agriculturists and OA focal persons, Farmers’ Cooperatives and Associations that practice organic farming.
