Cops arrest traffic enforcer in Pampanga anti-drug op

A traffic enforcer in San Fernando City, Pampanga was arrested in a buy-bust operation Thursday, police said.
Jonas Lingat, 31, resident of Purok 4, Barangay Sta. Lucia, was nabbed following an information from a confidential asset that the suspect was involved in the proliferation of illegal drugs in the city, Pampanga police said.
After series of surveillance and test operations, the operatives positively identified the suspect as source of shabu in the area after buying a piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing alleged illegal drugs.
Seized from the suspect were alleged shabu, cellular phone, transceiver radio, motorcycle and one piece of P1,000 bill.
Lingat will face appropriate charges.
