Concepcion LGU to residents: Comelec voters’ registration to resume next month
The local government of Concepcion in Tarlac informed Tuesday its residents that the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will resume its voters’ registration next month.
“Comelec to resume voter registration on July 2, 2018,” the local government said as it shared a copy of the press release issued by James B. Jimenez, Director IV of Comelec-Education and Information Department.
According to the Comelec, the system of continuing registration of voters for the May 13, 2019 national and local elections will be until Sept. 29, 2018.
The Filipinos will vote for 12 senators down to municipal councilors, including congressmen and party-list representatives during the mid-term polls next year.
Application for new registration, transfer/transfer with reactivation, reactivation, change/correction of entry and inclusion/reinstatement of records in the list of voters shall be accepted during the period of registration, the poll body said.
Applications shall be personally filed at the Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) of the city/district/municipality where the applicant resides, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Mondays to Saturdays, including holidays.
The Comelec said it will also conduct satellite registrations during this period, wherein field officials go to barangays, public plazas, schools and other public places to register voters.
