Coming soon: 35-minute travel time from QC to Bulacan
Travel time between Bulacan province and Quezon City will soon decrease from two-three hours to only 35 minutes as the Metro Rail Transit 7 or MRT 7 approaches completion, according to the Department of Transportation.
As of January 31, the project is 59.82 percent complete, officials said.
Per DOTr’s estimate, the MRT 7 will reduce travel time from North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan to only 35 minutes.
Officials expect the project to be finalized by the end of the year.
“The DOTr is pulling in all the stops to ensure that we are able to deliver this modern mass transportation system to the Filipino people,” the DOTr said in a statement.
The 14-station rail line is expected to serve 300,000 to 850,000 passengers per day, with room for capacity expansion, the agency said.
