Classes resume in Bataan, says Gov Abet Garcia
Bataan Governor Albert Garcia said Sunday evening that classes in the entire province will resume on Monday, Sept. 17.
On his Facebook account, Garcia said the resumption of classes is in view of the improving weather condition following typhoon Ompong’s exit from the country.
The declaration of resumption of classes applies to all levels in both public and private schools.
Classes in Bataan were suspended on Friday and Saturday as Ompong threatened mainly the entire Luzon with powerful winds and heavy rains.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration placed Bataan under Typhoon Signal No. 1 at the height of Ompong’s wrath over northern Luzon on Saturday.
