Central Luzon cops intensify anti-drug ops in Angeles, Mabalacat
The chief of the Central Luzon police has assured the public that it will continue its operations to wipe out illegal drugs in the region.
Police Region 3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said: “Continuous proactive operations are being carried out as PRO3 invigorates its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs in order to achieve its quest for a drug-free Central Luzon.”
He issued the statement after separate sting operations in Angeles and Mabalacat cities led to the confiscation of P1 million in illegal drugs.
In the Angeles operation, a high-value target identified as Ismail Macatanong, 25, was arrested in a buy-bust in Barangay Pandan, investigators said.
The authorities confiscated three plastic sachets allegedly containing shabu weighing some 101 grams worth P686,800 from the suspect.
In Mabalacat City, police reported that couple Rolanda Alpindo, 55, and Rodencio Alpindo, 53, were arrested in a police sting operation in Barangay San Francisco.
Six plastic sachets of alleged shabu weighing 65 grams valued at P442,000 were confiscated from the suspects.
