Central Luzon cops activate task force for election-related cases

The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) has activated the Regional Special Operations Task Group (RSOTG) and Election Monitoring System (EMS) application to ensure peaceful and orderly elections in Central Luzon on May 9.

According to the regional police chief, Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, the security and deployment plan took effect on January 9, or the start of the election period.

“We created the RSOTG to address any election-related concern such as checkpoints, inspections among others,” he said.

“Our key officers were designated to a particular task group hence, we have an office and an officer-in-charge for every concern,” Baccay added.

He noted that the RSOTG was also replicated in provincial, city and municipal offices to address concerns and prevent election-related incidents in the whole region.
