‘Cash for work’ to help Orani tricycle registration
Tricycle drivers who can’t afford to register their vehicles can now avail of Orani’s “cash for work” program.
Orani Mayor Bondjong Pascual rolled out the local government’s “cash for work” program after a profiling of unregistered tricycles in the municipality.
The Bataan politiko is looking to have all tricycles in the municipality registered in the local government.
There are an estimated 600 unregistered tricycles out of the 3,000 listed in the municipal survey.
Pascual said the cash for work program will enable the tricycle drivers to have dignity in their work while also helping them finance the registration of their vehicles.
