Capas high school tops DepEd’s virtual sports demo tilt in Central Luzon
Capas National High School (CNHS) in Capas town in Tarlac province was crowned champion during the inaugural virtual Regional Sports Skills Demonstration Contest (SSDC) of the Department of Education (DepEd) in Central Luzon.
The event was organized to provide public school student-athletes an opportunity and alternative venue to showcase their talents in the absence of an organized school-based sports tournament due to Covid-19 pandemic.
In a Philippine Information Agency report, CNHS Principal Yolanda Gonzales said her school owed its success to the teamwork among the participants.
“Our success is always attributed to the teamwork between the learners and the collaborative school community,” Gonzales said.
The Bonifacio V. Romero High School in Angeles City was the first runner up while Tarlac National High School-Main was the second runner up.
Muñoz National High School – Annex in the Science City of Muñoz won third runner up.
