Candaba Mayor Rene Maglanque has recovered from a second bout with Covid-19.
According to a Sun Star Pampanga report, the mayor returned to office on Wednesday and presented a negative RT-PCR result dated January 18.
This was to ensure the safety of his fellow government employees, constituents and visitors who will be in contact with him.
Maglanque underwent and completed the recommended 14-day quarantine period.
On his first day back in office, the official met with department heads and village chiefs for an update on the Covid-19 situation in Candaba.
The mayor “also thanked all those who prayed for him and expressed well wishes as he survived his second infection of the viral disease,” the report added.
