Bulacan wins Rice Achievers Award from DA, gets P4M in rice grants
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando congratulated his constituents as the province again earned the “Rice Achievers Award” from the Department of Agriculture for programs ensuring rice productivity.
“Muling nakamit ng Lalawigan ng Bulacan sa pangunguna ni Gobernador Daniel R. Fernando, ang 2019 Rice Achievers Awards mula sa Kagawaran ng Agrikultura (DA) sa paggawad na isinagawa sa Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) Convention Hall, Diliman, Quezon City,” according to provincial officials.
Fernando, along with Provincial Agriculture Officer Ma. Gloria Carrillo and Board Member Romeo Castro Jr., who represented Vice Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado, accepted the award on behalf of the provincial government.
Bulacan won the Rice Achievers Award and Outstanding Agricultural Extension Workers Award.
The awards recognized the province’s outstanding contributions to food security not only in Bulacan but the entire country.
“Kasabay ng pagkilala, nakatanggap din ang lalawigan ng P4 milyong halaga ng mga proyektong may kaugnayan sa produksyon ng bigas tungo sa layuning kasapatan sa pagkain,” officials said.
