Bulacan vice gov. leads distribution of relief packs to evacuees
Bulacan Vice Governor Daniel Fernando led the distribution of relief packs to evacuees in the province, particularly in the town of Sta. Maria, his social media account shows.
Photos of the actor-turned-politiko handing over relief packs are captioned on Sunday, “MAAGAP NA PAGTULONG sa ating mga kalalawigang nasa Evacuation Centers mula sa iba’t ibang barangay sa bayan ng STA. MARIA.”

Another set of photos posted earlier showed Fernando also distributing relief goods inside evacuation centers in the towns of Obando and Bulacan on Saturday.
Typhoon Ompong made landfall in the northern Luzon provinces of Cagayan, Apayao and Ilocos Norte on Saturday, but its effects were felt all throughout the rest of Luzon island, causing floods in Bulacan and other provinces.
The typhoon packed winds of up to 205 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 330 kph while over the landmass. It exited the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday evening.
