Bulacan Rep Villarica recovering slowly, video-chats staff, family — wife
Self-quarantined Meycauayan Mayor Linabelle Ruth Villarica said her husband, Bulacan Rep. Henry Villarica, was gradually recovering after testing positive for Covid-19.
He’s strong enough to have video chats and Facetime with his staff and family, the mayor said in a March 28 Facebook post.
“Unti unti na pong gumagaling ang aking asawa. Nakipag-videochat na sya sa kanyang staff at nagfe-Facetime na kami palagi,” said Villarica, who has gone on a 14-day home quarantine as a person under monitoring.
“Huwag din po kayong mag-alala sa akin. Wala po akong lagnat, ubo o anupamang sintomas ng Covid-19,” she said.
“Pero sumusunod po ako sa 14-day home quarantine mula noong huling pagkikita namin ni Cong. Henry dahil ito ang protocol ng DOH para sa isang PUM,” Villarica added.
According to House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales, the Bulacan congressman tested positive after he was hospitalized for pneumonia.
On March 8, the congressman attended an event hosted by Baliuag Mayor Ferdie Estrella, who would later test positive for Covid-19 as well.
