Bulacan prepares 200 extra hospital beds for Covid-19 patients
The Bulacan provincial government has prepared an additional 200 hospital beds to boost the capacity of its health care system to deal with the Covid-19 surge.
The hospital beds in Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) and the Bulacan Infection Control Center will accommodate patients who have moderate to severe symptoms.
Beginning April 30, the two facilities shall also serve as referral facilities for serious Covid-19 cases.
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando said BMC would no longer be accepting transfers of non-Covid patients from district hospitals.
Only outpatient cases will be served in the emergency room for first aid and laboratory tests.
