Bulacan politikos monitor Ompong impacts in province
Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado and Vice Governor Daniel Fernando actively monitored the situation in their province on Saturday as typhoon Ompong lashed powerful winds and heavy rains on the Philippine main island of Luzon.
The province’s top two politikos monitored the state of Bulacan from the command center of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Malolos City.
They were joined by PDRRMO chief Felicisima Mungcal.
Bulacan was placed under Typhoon Signal No. 2 during the onslaught of Ompong mainly in the northern provinces of Cagayan, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte starting before dawn of Saturday.
Some areas in the province were flooded due to the rains brought about by Ompong.(END)
