Bulacan logs daily high of 64 new Covid-19 cases
CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – This province has recorded 64 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases, the highest daily case based on the latest report of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) here.
This brought the total number of Covid-19 cases to 1,896.
The PHO record also showed that out of the total, 1,163 are on active status with 310 symptomatic and 853 asymptomatic cases.
On the other hand, the PHO reported that 32 have newly recovered from the dreaded disease for a total of 679 recoveries while the number of deaths remains at 54.
Fernando also said the cases of Covid-19 here increased as the province serves as the gateway to the north.
Based on data, Bulacan, however, still has the lowest number of cases among the provinces around the National Capital Region (NCR), which is the epicenter of the virus, he said.
The province is also one of the localities with the highest number of recoveries near the NCR, Fernando added. (PNA)
