Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando: Climate change is the problem, not dam protocols
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando has cleared the air.
According to the governor, the floody aftermath of Typhoon Ulysses was not because of the water management dam protocols but because of climate change. World experts have said time and again that global warming will threaten livelihood and safety of the people. He said that if dams just let the water overflow, more damage will be done. If a dam breaks, the water in the dam will be more dangerous to the cities and towns that it will flood.
He lambasted other public officials that blame dam protocols without basis. Instead of pointing fingers, he urged everybody to focus on the solutions. This is the time to talk about local climate change mitigation and adaptation. Governor Fernando urged everybody to take care of Mother Nature and the government to take necessary sustainable measures to combat pollution.
“Private individual or politician, this is our shared responsibility,” he said. https://www.facebook.com/govdanielfernando/posts/1695931383913405
