Bulacan Gov Sy-Alvarado bats for Boy Scouts training
Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado welcomes the province’s hosting of the 5th Central Luzon Regional Kab-o-ree on Oct. 25-28.
In a statement, the provincial government said more than 3,000 cub scouts from different schools in Region III will gather at Fortunato F. Halili National Agricultural School in Santa Maria, Bulacan for the event.
The activity carries the theme, “Scouting: Commitment to Excellence,” and aims to highlight cub scouting as a vital education program that helps institutions in molding the character of the cubs.
Another objective is “to provide more meaningful and relevant cub scouts activities geared toward environment through the Better World Framework,” the provincial government said.
In the statement, Sy-Alvarado said “instilling to the youth what they are capable of doing for their country at this early stage is essential and will be beneficial in the near future because they will bring the experience and the lessons they learned until they grow up.”
“Habang bata pa, magandang mahubog na sila, dahil sa mga susunod na panahon, sila naman ang magtuturo sa mga kabataan kung paano maging responsableng mamamayan, kung paano maging laging handa sa anumang sitwasyong ibato sa kanila ng bawat panahon,” the governor said.(END)
