Bocaue Mayor Joni Villanueva personally hands relief to homeless Calawit residents

Feb 3, 2020 @ 4:25

The public servants are not yet done helping Taal victims.

Bocaue Mayor Joni Villanueva took to Instagram to update her followers on the current efforts done by her municipality to help the #BangonBatangas relief operations. Two weeks ago, she and her staff visited evacuation centers in the 7-kilometer zone covered by Bocaue’s disaster risk reduction and management office; this week, she dropped by the 8-9 kilometer zone which is more popularly known as Balete.

Taal Lake is just behind the municipality where Baranggay Calawit is situationed. Unfortunately, the baranggay did not survive the ashfall. According to the mayor, it has already been wiped off from the map which meant that the former residents there no longer have homes to return to.

The mayor thanked every Bocaueño who extended help because, in a way, it eased the heavy hearts of Calawit residents.

#GodblessBatangas #GodblessBocaue #GodblessthePhilippines
