Several businesses and locators at the Clark freeport attended a briefing held by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regarding business requirements and other tax compliance requirements.

The 100 participants to the Zoom briefing included representatives from Clark locators, Clark Development Corporation (CDC), and other micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

They were briefed on the proper application for registration for self-employed individuals, as well as topics on estates and trusts, corporations, partnerships, cooperatives, associations, Local Government Units (LGUs), and branch or facility among others.

Also present were CDC vice president for administration and finance engineer Mariza Mandocdoc and CDC vice president for business development and business enhancement group Rynah Venture.

Ventura represented CDC president and CEO Manuel Gaerlan and expressed her gratitude to BIR for organizing the event which provided information and updates on proper registration and other tax compliance requirements for SMEs.

“Our heartfelt appreciation to the BIR for arranging this event which served as an effective approach and means of educating entrepreneurs,” she said.

“This (event) is also another driving factor in our continuous promotion of the ease of doing business in Clark and other areas of growth across our country,” Ventura said.
