Bataan voters flock to Comelec offices to get registered
Crowds are lining up at the offices of the Commission on Elections in Balanga City to get registered for the 2022 elections.
There are less than two weeks left for voters to get registered before the deadline on September 30.
Comelec offices are open from Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
As of July 24, Bataan, with 11 towns, one city and 237 barangays, has 519,337 registered voters.
A report in Punto Central Luzon observed long queues at the Comelec offices in Balanga City, as well as in the towns of Pilar, Mariveles and Hermosa.
In the report Balanga City election officer Melanio Sibayan said people started to line-up before 7 in the morning and so they also have to come early and be ready before the 8 a.m. regular office hour.
