Bataan reserves 2nd dose of Covid-19 jabs for health workers
The Bataan provincial health office said on Wednesday it has reserved enough vaccines to complete the two doses needed by health workers of the province.
The provincial health office chief Dr. Rosanna Buccahan said in a Punto Central Luzon report that the scheduled inoculation for the final dose was on April 29.
The inoculation program is still ongoing at the Lou-is Resort for senior citizens in Balanga City and the Bataan People’s Center for the senior citizens from 11 towns of Bataan.
Bataan Governor Albert Garcia said senior citizens in Orion town started receiving their first shots last Tuesday in the inoculation center at the Orion Elementary School.
The governor also urged municipal mayors in Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Pilar, Orion, Limay, Mariveles, Bagac and Morong to prepare inoculation areas in their respective municipalities to speed up the vaccination.
Garcia thanked the Department of Health for the new delivery of 4,712 doses of the Sinovac vaccine.
“Nakalaan ito sa ating mga minamahal na lolo at lola at para na rin sa nalalapit na pagtanggap ng second dose ng mga nauna nang nabakunahan sa medical frontliners sa Bataan,” he said.
