Bataan reports 22 recoveries, 1 new Covid-19 case
BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A total of 22 patients, including six children, have been added to the list of those who have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in this province as of Friday.
Citing a report from the Provincial Health Office, Governor Albert Garcia said the children who recovered were a seven-year-old boy, and an eight-year-old and three-year-old, both girls, all from Samal town; as well as an eight-year-old, a two-year-old, and a 10-year-old, all girls from Orani town.
Garcia said among the 22 new recoveries were two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and a health worker from Mariveles.
He said the total number of recoveries now stands at 206.
Meanwhile, Garcia said a 53-year-old man from Dinalupihan has tested positive for the virus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 273, some 57 of which are active cases.
The number of deaths, on the other hand, remained at 10.
Of the 6,274 who have undergone laboratory examinations, 273 were found positive, 5,739 tested negative, and 262 were still waiting for the result.
Garcia reminded his constituents to follow safety health protocols to prevent the spread of the dreaded disease. (PNA)
