Bataan poultry growers want to try biogas project
A poultry industry leader in Bataan expressed hope to share with a biogas project that will be established in the town of Abucay.
Eric Hermoso, president of the Bataan Poultry Growers Association (BPGA), said the group is interested to partner for the planned European Technology Biogas Facility project in the province.
According to Hermoso, the prospective biogas facility in Abucay would be different from others established nationwide.
It will use German technology with 98 percent efficiency. Aside from low electricity rate, it will also use organic fertilizer.
Hermosa’s team will no longer wait for a week or more for their contact in Baguio City to collect their chicken manure.
Majority of the general members agreed in principle on the beauty of the project. They suggested for a reevaluation on the legalities of the project, which includes inviting the Agro-by-product Solution and Services Incorporated (ASI), the project proponent, for further discussions.
