Bataan opens 28th vaxx site in Orion despite Jolina’s onslaught
The Bataan provincial province opened its 28th vaccination site in Orion town on Wednesday despite bad weather caused by Tropical Storm Jolina.
According to a Punto Central Luzon report, Bataan Governor Albert Garcia, Rep. Joet Garcia and Orion Mayor Antonio Raymundo led in the ribbon-cutting and inauguration of the second inoculation center in the town.
Parish priest Fr. Perry Medina officiated in the blessing of not only the center but the new building as well of the Orion Rural Health Unit, the report said.
“The opening of more vaccination centers in our province is in line with our desire of attaining herd immunity at the earliest time for the long-lasting protection and safety of our people against the coronavirus disease,” Garcia was quoted as saying.
The governor said that the new RHU building in turn will give medical frontliners added comfort while helping fight the war against Covid- 19.
