Bataan opens 24th vaccination site in Mariveles
Another vaccination center has been launched in Mariveles town, Bataan, the 24th site opened so far in the province amid the surge in Covid-19 cases.
Bataan Rep. Jose Enrique Garcia III said the new vaccination site was the sixth vaccination site in Mariveles, which is home of the Freeport Area of Bataan.
According to a Punto Central Luzon report, Mariveles is considered as the epicenter of the Covid–19 and its Delta variant in the province.
The report quoted Bataan Governor Albert Garcia as saying that there is delayed reporting on the Delta variant.
“Be it as it may, there is indeed Delta variant around and we have to assume its presence and strictly follow safety protocols inside and outside our houses, the variant being more dangerous,” the governor said.
Bataan was placed under the enhanced community quarantine from August 8-22.
“Matindi talaga ang Delta variant at hindi masabi kung saan, ilang segundo lang, ilang minuto lang maaari na tayong mahawa kaya kung hindi kinakailangan lumabas ay huwag na muna,” Representative Garcia said.
