Bataan holds info campaign on rabies, animal regulation

The Bataan Provincial Veterinarian Office conducted an information campaign for dog owners on Tuesday in light of an ordinance that aims to control and eradicate rabies among animals in the province.
Provincial Ordinance No. 4 Series of 2015 provides a comprehensive animal regulation and rabies control and eradication in Bataan province and the corresponding penalties for violations thereof.
The campaign launched in Tuyo Elementary School aims to spread awareness about rabies and animal regulation throughout the province.
The provincial veterinarian and rabies coordinator discussed various topics such as animal rabies status, regional rabies program updates, Bataan rabies status, and basic information about rabies.
A representative from the Department of Health in Bataan also graced the event.
After the discussions, an open forum was also held for the participants to help answer their questions about rabies and animal regulation.
