Bataan Governor Abet Garcia puts Mariveles under a localized lockdown
Bataan Governor Abet Garcia is not acting slowly.
Since COVID-19 cases are increasing in Mariveles, he has immediately put its 9 barangays under a localized lockdown.
Extensive contact tracing and testing were also simultaneously done. Additional isolation and quarantine facilities may be put up if the current centers will be filled up. For now, Governor Abet asked help from the AFAB, DepEd, and private sector to use the Economic Housing Building of AFAB, Llamas Elementary School, and Mariveles National High School as quarantine and isolation facilities. Other buildings are being prepared as of writing.
The governor thanked everyone for their cooperation and asked for continued patience and vigilance.
