Bataan Governor Abet Garcia hands out 100 housing units
Oh wow, a new house!
Bataan Governor Abet Garcia changed the lives of 100 families last February 7. Together with National Housing Authority (NHA) Regional Manager Engineer Arceli Natino, he handed 100 housing units to 100 displaced families.
These people used to live before in the 20-meter easement from the shoreline of Manila Bay. Because cleaning of the bay is at works, the families were affected by it and left homeless. Governor Abet came to their rescue and developed right away a housing project in Baranggay Cabcaben. It’s now called Mariveles Heights that the governor aims to fill with 957 residential homes under the Community Based Initiative Approqch of the NHA.
Do you think this initiative is enough to help the displaced community? Sound off your thoughts below.
