Bataan Gov Garcia bares planned one-stop center for OFWs
Bataan Governor Albert Garcia has bared a planned one-stop center that will cater to all needs of overseas Filipino workers in his province.
The provincial government of Bataan, through the Public-Private Partnership-INvestment Center, is collaborating with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA and VFS Global for the project.
The project is called, “One Roof, One System,” a one-stop service center aimed to provide hassle-free services mainly to OFWs of Bataan.
“This is not just for the OFWs but also to all Bataenos who are having a hard time processing their documents over the past years,” Garcia said last Monday.
The system is expected to offer convenience, efficiency and holistic approach with VFS Global as partner, the government’s announcement of the project on Garcia’s Facebook page said.
When the bunker building for the said center inside the Bataan Capitol compound is finished, different government agencies will hold office there.
The provincial government notes that the establishment of the center is in compliance with President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive to facilitate the processing of documents, especially for OFWs.(
