Bataan Cong Roman laments frequent flooding in Dinalupihan town
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman is determined to know the cause of the frequent flooding in Dinalupihan town, which falls within her jurisdiction.
“Once and for all, let us find out the reason for these devastating floods,” Roman said Tuesday on her Facebook page.
“Let the people know who and what agency should be made accountable. And finally, let those responsible make the necessary rectifications,” she added.
The politiko lamented that her “constituents in Dinalupihan, especially those who live near the SCTEx, have been suffering yearly bouts of flooding, causing not only big losses but also huge expenses for repairs.”
She said they also “undergo all kinds of health, physical, and even psychological problems.”
The “education of the young, private businesses, and government work are often disrupted,” too.
“Give back to our Dinalupihan residents their normal lives,” Roman said.
In July of this year, Roman filed House Resolution No. 2046, “directing the Special Committee on Bases Conversion to conduct an investigation in aid of legislation on the frequent flooding” in Dinalupihan, “possibly caused by the construction of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx).”
The resolution has been referred to the Committee on Rules.
