Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman hailed Friday the Norwegian national who was recently featured in a local report picking up trash at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.
“Napakabuting ehemplo sa atin ng dayuhang ito,” Roman said on her Facebook page as she shared a link to the ABS-CBN News report about 26-year-old Randi Emilie Dahlen from Norway.
Dahlen, identified in the report as an embassy intern in Manila, was first featured by a Facebook user who took snapshots of her, collecting garbage.
In the report, Dahlen explained cleaning up the environment is both her personal habit and a social cause she actively supports.
“Kung lahat tayo ay kagaya niya na magpupulot ng basura, kung lahat tayo ay gagawin ang ating tungkulin na hindi magtapon ng basura sa kung saan-saan lamang, ang ating napakagandang bayan ng Pilipinas ay lalo pang gaganda at uunlad,” Roman said.
Urging everyone to do their part, the politiko said, “Let us all take good care of Mother Earth. It is the only one we’ve got.”(END)
