Bataan Cong Roman condoles with ‘Rosita’ landslide victims in Mt. Province
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman expressed her sympathies to the victims of a landslide in Mt. Province at the height of typhoon ‘Rosita,’ burying a DPWH building.
Roman, who chairs the House Committee on Disaster Management, said Wednesday she took the reports about the deadly landslide in Natonin, Mt. Province “with deep sorrow.”
Sharing on her Facebook page a Philippine Star report about the incident, Roman said, “My most profound condolences to the families of the victims of a landslide, caused by Typhoon Rosita, that buried the building of the DPWH in the Mountain Province.”
“I fervently pray for the victims and the loved ones they left behind,” the politiko said.
Authorities say the DPWH building with nearly 30 people inside was buried by a landslide during the onslaught of Typhoon ‘Rosita’ last Tuesday. Some of them have been rescued alive, while some were retrieved dead, and the rest remain missing.(END)
