Bataan allocates P219M for infrastructure
The Provincial Government of Bataan has allocated P219 million for the construction of school buildings and other infrastructure projects.
In a bid to speed up development in the countryside, board member Rolando Z. Tigas, chair of the Housing and Land Utilization and Infrastructure Committees of the Bataan Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), said that the funding will be used to improve school facilities, flood control system, farm to market roads.
The appropriation will also be used to fund programs that would create effective and efficient delivery of quality education, health, social and public services to residents.
A former mayor of Samal town, Tigas praised Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia for focusing on quality education, poverty alleviation and improvement of road networks as key mechanisms for the socio-economic prosperity of the historic peninsula.
According to Tigas, Garcia plans to launch more infrastructure projects through public and private partnerships, especially in the towns of Mariveles, Limay and Hermosa.
