Bamban microentrepreneurs get DTI assistance
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac has launched the “Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay” (NSB) program in Bamban in Tarlac province to assist the microentrepreneurs in the town.
Under the NSB program, seven micro enterprises were awarded individual livelihood kits to help restore or improve their businesses amid the pandemic, according to the Philippine Information Agency.
“This is going to be the start of our partnership with barangay Lourdes. Training and seminars will be provided for the entrepreneurs,” DTI Tarlac Business Development Division Chief Zaida Garibay was quoted as saying in the PIA report.
Garibay added that continuous monitoring and assistance will be employed for the growth and development of the beneficiaries’ respective businesses.
Bamban Mayor Jon Feliciano encouraged the microentrepreneurs to treasure the aid from DTI.
“Let us focus on how we will use these items to grow our businesses,” he said in the report.
“Doing business is like utilizing a carabao in the farm, let’s focus on how we will use this to plow the farm and produce different products,” Feliciano was quoted as saying.
