Award-winning design firm bags contract for Clark airport interiors
Populous, an award-winning global design company, has been appointed as the lead interior designer of its recently-completed passenger terminal building of Clark International Airport, according to the Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD).
LIPAD, the private consortium running the Clark airport, said Populous specializes in designing interiors of “places of mass congregation including those for sports and entertainment, arenas and airports.”
Populous’ projects include the Kansai Airport in Japan, Zhuhai International Airport in China, Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in London and the Philippine Arena.
The winning firm will collaborate with Casas+Architects for the project, according to LIPAD.
Operations of the new passenger terminal that is designed for 12 million passengers annually will commence in January 2021.
