Another OFW added to confirmed Covid-19 cases in Bataan
BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Another overseas Filipino worker (OFW) tested positive of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing to 185 the total number of those infected by the dreaded disease in this province.
Governor Albert Garcia said based on the report Sunday of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the latest addition to the list of Covid-19 patients is a 50-year-old OFW from Orani town.
On Saturday, two returning OFWs from the towns of Bagac and Mariveles were also found positive for Covid –19.
With the addition of a new case, the number of active Covid-19 cases or those who have not yet recovered is now pegged at 21, said PHO chief, Dr. Rosanna Buccahan.
She added that 154 patients have recovered while the number of deaths stayed at 10.
Of the 4,177 who have undergone laboratory examination since January 31, there are 185 confirmed cases, 114 are still waiting for the results, while 3,878 were tested negative of coronavirus. (PNA)
