Angeles welcomes Valentine’s early w/ heart lanterns
Heart-shaped lanterns with the message “Love One Another” were put up by the city government along the Abacan Bridge this week in preparation for Valentine’s Day next month.
The Valentine’s lanterns and lights are meant to celebrate the Love Month despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said: “We should liven up the city’s streets by always sharing light and love to all Angeleños” amid the ongoing health crisis.”
“Kung patuloy nating paiiralin ang pagmamahal at pagmamalasakit sa kapwa sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa mga health protocols, tuluyan nating malalagpasan itong Covid-19,” the mayor said.
“Ngunit lagi nating tatandaan, hindi lang sa panahon ng pandemya dapat pairalin ang pagmamahalan – dahil araw-araw ay araw ng pagmamahalan,” he said.
