Angeles is top earning Central Luzon city over 3 years
The Bureau of Local Government Finance-Region 3 has cited the Angeles City government for consistently being “Top 1” in revenue generation among all cities in Central Luzon in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Three plaques of achievements were presented by the agency to the city for consistently having generated the “Highest Nominal Locally Sourced Revenues.”
In 2019, the city government generated P1.64 billion in revenues. In 2020, notwithstanding the COVID-19 pandemic, it collected P1.6 billion. Last year, its collection totaled P1.52 billion.
OIC-Treasurer Jennifer Castro received the BLGF-3 awards on June 22 at the Subic Bay Freeport.
The awards were handed over by BLGF regional director Divina M. Corpuz, who also cited Angeles City as “Top 3” “among all cities in Central Luzon for obtaining an 11-percent year-on-year growth in locally sourced revenues for 2019.
