Angeles high school designated as Covid-19 vaccination site
The Angeles City National High School (ACNHS) has been designated as a vaccination site for the month of June.
In a statement, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said the addition of the high school located in Barangay Pampang would make it easier for the local government to roll out the Covid-19 jabs.
“With the second designated vaccination center, the city could inoculate an average of 4,000 residents a day,” he said.
The high school was equipped with 16 computers, 16 air coolers, and four tents for the purpose.
“We want to ramp up the efforts being undertaken by the city government for the roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines,” Lazatin said.
The mayor said the Department of Health set the use of the facility as a vaccination site only for the month of June subject to extension.
Seven vaccinators, eight doctors, and a hundred support staff from the City Health Office (CHO) and Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center will be assigned at ACNHS, officials said.
The City College of Angeles (CCA) was earlier designated as the city’s sole Covid- 19 vaccination site accommodating 2,000 residents per day.
