Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr puts up 24/7 hotline to address COVID-19 situation

Mar 21, 2020 @ 20:13

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr addressed his constituents via a recorded video.

To make sure healthcare workers stay safe and that hospitals don’t become overcrowded, the mayor and his team have devised a scheme that’s convenient for the patient and would ensure the efficiency of the healthcare system in the long run. The mayor pleaded to his constituents not to go straight to the hospital if they feel or show any symptom of COVID-19. Just stay at home and contact the Angeles City on their official 24/7 hotline, 045.322.7796. The team will be at the house in fifteen minutes.

The mayor stresses the importance of this scheme as it will allow patients to stay at home and avoid further contact with anyone. He was honest in the video that if the pandemic blows up, there would not be enough hospital beds and staff to cater to the rising number of patients.
