January 9 is a momentous occasion for Catholics, especially for devotees of the Black Nazarene.

Called the Translacion, the Black Nazarene was once again taken around the streets of Quiapo, pulled and pushed by thousands of devotees who want to go near the Catholic sacred statue.

Early today, Angat Vice Mayor Jowar Bautista took to Facebook to wish everyone who’ll be joining the procession peace and safety. As of writing, the Nazarene has safely returned to the Quiapo Church.
