Agri projects in Bataan to reach almost P1B in 2021 – DA

The Department of Agriculture (DA) has committed about P943 million for agricultural inputs and livelihood projects in Bataan in 2021, according to a Philippine Information Agency report.
During his visit at one of the pilot farms of 1Bataan Agriculture Innovation and Technology Center (1Bataan AITC), Secretary William Dar assured Bataan officials of his agency’s support to the agricultural initiatives of the province.
He also “praised the provincial government for being a visionary by piloting the 1Bataan AITC in Dinalupihan town which will be greatly beneficial to farmers,” according to the report.
“There are four key strategies in order to transform the agriculture industry in the country. These are consolidation by using disruptive technology, modernization through the use of innovation and technology, industrialization and education and training that promotes career system for agriculture,” he was quoted as saying.
1Bataan AITC is a public-private partnership between the provincial government and Israeli company Agrilever, the report said.
