After PNP gaffe, Mayor Pamintuan tells police: ‘Be very careful’ with crime data
Angeles City Councilor Edgardo “Ed” Pamintuan Sr. wants the Philippine National Police (PNP) to be more circumspect in announcing crime statistics.
The politiko said this after the PNP backtracked on its earlier statement that Angeles is one of the cities with the highest crime rate in the country.
Pamintuan shared a news article about the PNP correcting itself.
“Just the facts please.. and this time i’m appealing to our PNP to be very careful next time, lest our people will finally lose their trust on their protector,” he said.
Tama ‘yan, Mayor Ed! Bawal ang fake news.
