Some 979 students from different towns of Pampanga’s second district each received cash aid on Monday and Wednesday to aid them in their studies, officials said.

The distribution of the financial assistance was led by Pampanga’s second district Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab under the provincial government’s educational finance assistance program (Efap) for college students.

Each student received P3,000.

In attendance during the program were Second Board Member Fritzie David Dizon and Vice Mayor Sajid Khan Eusoof, according to a Sun Star Pampanga report.

In the report, Pineda-Cayabyab said the province “continues to invest in education to help develop a skilled and educated human resource for the province.”
